Three boys from coach Will Casey's BU12 Stony Brook Rush Santos team are off to Italy with the East Coast Rush Select team for the Montecatini Pro Cup.
The tournament attracts youth teams from all of the major Italian league clubs such as Milan giants AC & Inter, as well as it's most decorated club Juventus, that hail from Turin. Clubs from further afield include Paris St.Germain as well as teams from Japan and Australia, rounding off a truly international field.
The boys will be in Italy for 9 days in total and will take in sights such is the historical city of Florence and Lake Como along the way. Alongside this, they will have the opportunity train and play with the top academies and coaches, rounding off an incredible trip.
Stony Brook Rush Boys DoC Mark Lugris commented "This trip will have a profound affect on our players as it will expose them to the rich soccer culture of the 4 time world champion, Italy. My hope is they will bring back this wonderful experience to our club and inspire our players to participate in the many wonderful opportunities the Rush organization offers".
We wish them safe travels and look forward to following their progress.
