Referee Basic Information
The Three Village Soccer Club allows youth players in the club to referee the 50 or so intramural games that are played each week. It can be a great learning experience for the child and we encourage our players to get involved.
You must be in fourth grade or higher to referee.
To register to be a referee simply send an email to our referee coordinator at RefTVSC@gmail.com. You will be added to the list.
When you send the email include the following information:
- name
- grade
- soccer experience
- whether you have refereed before
Each week an email is sent asking if you want to referee that coming Sunday. If you can referee you send a separate email (do not reply) to the referee coordinator listing the times you are available. You must be at the fields 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.
By the end of the week you will get an email back with the games you’ve been assigned. We will try to schedule games as fairly as possible.
Periodically the club will provide training. You will be notified by email when training is available. For notes from previous training sessions click here.
The club provides the highly attractive (and visible) referee shirt, but you are expected to bring a whistle and a stopwatch (click here to see what else to bring to the game).
