FUNDRAISING RULES FOR THREE VILLAGE SOCCER CLUB/STONY BROOK TRAVEL TEAMS
The Board of Directors of the Three Village Soccer Club/Stony Brook Travel Teams fully understands that the cost to engage in the current travel program may incur significant expenses for families based upon the need for coaching and training salaries, tournament expenses and clinics. In this environment, some teams may request to engage in fundraising activities to reduce the cost to individual players. To ensure that all teams and players have equal access to this opportunity, the Three Village Soccer Club sets forth the following conditions for a team to engage in fundraising activities:
- Any team may engage in fundraising activities for their team off of the premises of the P lot and the soccer park and will be able to keep all proceeds from their activities.
- Any team may engage in the sponsorship of a flag or banner which is displayed during their game at the soccer park at the field in which their game is being played and may retain all of the proceeds of that sponsorship.
- Any team may engage in a sponsorship of a flag or banner to be displayed on the perimeter fence by a sponsor at all times, with the approval of the president of the soccer club. The Club will charge a fee based upon the size of the flag or banner. Additional fees will be charged for placement on the club website and other forms of communication.
- Any team may engage in a fundraising activity through the sale of some goods or services at the soccer park only with the consent of the president of the soccer club and only if the sale of such goods or services does not compete with goods or services provided by the club and only on a date and location approved by the president. No fundraising activity shall be allowed on any special club event such as the fall or spring festival or tournament. Any expenses of the club shall be reimbursed by the team engaged in the fundraising activity.
- No non-soccer related fundraising activity shall be allowed at the soccer park without the express consent of the board of directors.
