@3VSoccer on Twitter, SMS/Text Message Updates

We have begun posting updates to our new Twitter Account “@3VSoccer”.  Updates include field status (are they open or closed), events, news, awards, and anything that impacts our Soccer Community.

To get the most out of it, please read the following:

A) Already have a Twitter account, simply follow @3VSoccer (Stony Brook Soccer).

B) Don’t have a Twitter account, sign up at Twitter.com/signup

C) Want to get updates but don’t want a twitter account, try this text/sms option:

Can I get updates from @Twitter without a Twitter account or associated Phone number?

Absolutely! This is what Fast Follow is all about. It’s a new way of receiving Twitter updates. Now you don’t have to sign up or add your phone in order to receive updates!

To get started, send:

“Follow 3VSoccer” to 40404 and you will start receiving tweets from that user on your device.

Example: sending “follow Twitter” to 40404 on my Phone would mean I’d start getting SMS updates whenever Twitter posted a Tweet.
